MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop music industry is being influenced through his worldwide influence. His hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. His debut album ADN was released by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. It reached number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year he joined Ozuna on their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He also collaborated on a track with Noriel to record Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and later that year, released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he appeared on a duet TINI on her streaming hit single Maldita Foto. 2000 saw him perform the hit single La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo is a product of a family of musicians his mother and older brother have been musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. He began learning to play the saxophone and guitar as well as the keyboard and the ukulele when he was an infant. When his original career plan was to become a veterinarian His brother Julian convinced him to take lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban instructor. As a result personally discovering his talent in the field of singing changed the course of his life.
